Volunteers for Wildlife's 14 year old resident American Kestrel, Buster, was taken from our center on Friday afternoon 12/23 between 1:30 and 4 pm.
Buster is imprinted on people and cannot survive if released to the wild. He requires a specialized diet and he is an old bird with many health concerns. We are very worried about him. He was wearing his leather anklets and leash pictured below when he went missing.
We will not press charges. We will not ask questions. We just want him back safely. He can be brought back to our center (no questions asked) or dropped off anonymously at one of the 24 hour vets on Long Island:
Veterinary Medical Center of LI
West Hills Animal Hospital, Huntington
New York Veterinary Specialty Center, Farmingdale
Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center, Westbury
Central Vet Associates, Valley Stream
Please bring Buster home!
